8 Spaces That Inspired Us in 2018

Another year in the books! 2018 was a big one for us: we re-launched our blog, refreshed our website, and sourced more rugs from around the world than ever. And where did all that creative juice come from? We’re always keeping our finger on the pulse of the design world, looking out for standout rooms and spaces and keeping abreast of the latest trends. Today, we take a look back at the past year and take inventory of the home decor that inspired us most.

This stylish pad is all the rug goals. From the layered carpets in the living room to the kitchen’s contrasting runner and the wall-mounted plush statement piece, we dare you to find a better use of rugs under one roof.

From the mini Persian welcome mat to that bold kitchen color scheme and cozy bedrooms, this historic house had us dreaming up new ways to play with texture and depth in our own homes.

This Tribeca loft blew us away with vintage rugs galore—expertly layered and married together—and unique, quirky pieces. Sometimes, more is more.

The prints! The textures! That outdoor dining area! There’s so much to love in this sprawling getaway, decorated to the last detail. It’s the perfect combination of cozy and playful, modern and traditional. Plus, check out that 1950s kilim in the study. So chic. So elegant.

Bright hues can be a challenge to incorporate into a room without being overwhelming, but this Amangasett home does it with, well, flying colors. It’s at once airy and impactful without even coming close to looking overly busy. Swoon!

Leave it to the Duchess of Cambridge to design the most elegant bachelorette pad in history. This London townhouse was home to the Middleton sisters for a time and is the ultimate example of classic elegance—muted hues, regal furniture and antique rugs.

A Beachy Family Home

We love the combination of traditional and contemporary, and this beachy white dream house does it with sheer grace. Persian rugs contrast with linen couches for an impactful textural play, while pale accent colors keep things cheery. Love at first sight!

Doesn’t looking at this bathroom feel like a breath of fresh sea air? We can’t imagine a dreamier shower than this. Add to that equation an intricate patterned tile? Game over. We have a winner.
